Following May’s beloved “Aguaxirê” 12” JKriv returns to Rocksteady Disco for a complete single package with alternate mixes. “Aguaxirê” is a deep Afro-Brazilian house cut in praise of the Yoruban orisha Oya. The Dub Mix reimagines the track for a different dance floor, with a heavier emphasis on the moody Detroit-style pads. Next is J’s Acid Test, which gets straight to the nitty-gritty after hours vibes found in the original. J’s brilliant percussion programming and sampling get even more shine on the Beats mix, perfect for those deejays who aren’t afraid to rock a 3rd deck.
